Another very special thank you to State Farm! Over the years, State Farm has donated funds to help support certain programs we've held around the country and in 2015, Edge was again a recipient of a Good Neighbor Citizenship Grant from State Farm!
This year's grant helped fund our four day event in Reno from July 23 to 26, 2015, which like all Edge events, was free for students and parents to attend! We're grateful for State Farm's commitment to young drivers and the help they've provided to Driver's Edge!
You can learn more about State Farm at www.statefarm.com and you can find them on facebook here and on twitter here (and if you use the hashtag #StateFarmGrant you can find all sorts of great stuff on the causes they support!).
Thanks yet again State Farm! We really appreciate the help and we hope you will continue to be a partner for many years to come!
So it's finally hot enough in Nevada for us to take a little break (actually, it's been hot enough since May, but now seemed like a good time to rest a little ...)
2015 has already been another great year for Driver's Edge. With events in Las Vegas in February, March, April, May and June (including the annual Nevada Zero Teen Fatalities initiative in April) and a four day visit to Reno in July, nearly 4,000 students and parents have already attended an Edge event so far this year!
We'll gear up again in September with a return visit to Reno and another event in Las Vegas, then finish out the year with Las Vegas events in October, November and December. And funding permitting, we'll try to add some national events as well. So if you would like us to visit your town, or would like to sponsor a local event, please get in touch (info is on the contact page) and we'll try to find a way to get there!
You can also find us on Facebook here and on Twitter here. Give us a follow!
Our thanks go out to all the people who help make Edge happen, from our dedicated instructors to each and every partner and sponsor and every person who takes the time to attend one of our events. Together we can make a difference!
See you in September!
Another summer, another great four days up in Reno! With 1,048 students and parents joining us and great support from all the local media (we had visits from the CBS, NBC and FOX affiliates), the event was already a summer highlight for Edge.
As always, our thanks to all our local partners, including Washoe County Sheriff Chuck Allen, Washoe County Regional Public Safety Training Center (our hosts), Champion Chevrolet in Reno, Grand Sierra Resort Reno, the Nevada Department of Transportation, and of course the Nevada Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety!
We're so very grateful for everyone's help and instead of waiting another year to return, we'll be back in Reno on September 12 & 13, 2015!
Photos from the event are up on our Facebook page and we'll look forward to our return to Reno in September! See you soon!
