James began his racing career in 1998 and has been competing in the Grand-Am Series since 2004.  James finished second in the 2008 and 2009 Grand-Am Sports Car Challenge Series and is currently teammates with Patrick Dempsey in the 2011 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series.
